This is the FRONT LEFT brake caliper carrier.

If your car is Right Hand Drive (i.e U.K / Australia / Japan) this is the PASSENGERS side

If your car is Left Hand Drive (i.e Europe / U.S.A / Canada) this is the DRIVERS side

Both "sliding pins" are fully free to ensure your brake pads wear evenly (if you have a problem with this part it will cause the braking system to lose efficiency - you may notice the car pulls to one side when braking).
